Frequencies

Feel free to share here or the Wiki (link in the sidebar) any frequencies that you find helpful. (You'll get it once you download and play.)

I'm trying to find my beta-testing notes because I found a couple.

Note: comments (and the Wiki) may contain game spoilers

  13. Ok, I want to see if anyone else has run into this issue, but sometimes when you contact Duncan, he tells you that there's a weak signal on frequency 024, and yet when I check that there's no transmission. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

  14. Ok so far, I've had three encounters with various mutants. My question is, is it possible to recruit any of them? I've had an encounter with Ant-Man and Anarchist which seemed like it might be possible.

  15. Is there a reason a person's health is above 100 I had Crystal fighting Mastermind, switched to She-Hulk, and his health was at 141, when it was less than 100 when I pulled Crystal out.

What have people found as passwords?

Password for just having found the first ending is: TOHLFIRE

Password for just having found third ending is:
    WHOSREAL

Does anyone have any idea how to get the second ending?

  22. Yeah but how do you GET the different endings??

    ReplyDelete
  23. Can't say too much without really spoiling the game, but having Namor on your team is critical.

    ReplyDelete
  24. OK so you have one ending with Namor on your team, another if you don't have him/don't follow him... how do you get the third one?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Took the Forward option with Namor, Crystal, Mr F, Thing and Invisible Woman - villains pulled were Blob, Pyro, Mastermind and Dragon Man. Finished with Thing on 93%, Mr F on 78% and everyone else on full health.

Of course it all went wrong staight afterwards :-(

  26. So I'm not sure if this is an okay place to ask, but any tips on getting Dark Phoenix to show up? I've played a few dozen rounds of chapter 3, and I always keep Jean or Phoenix on the team, but I've only managed to corrupt her twice... It's crazy frustrating--I'm so sick of fighting the same villains all the time!

    1. James - I found that to be the hardest part of the game. There are some villains who work perfect for bringing out DP - the ones who are heavy on energy attacks. Ideally you want her to be fighting someone where they're not doing a lot of damage to each other. I remember Shadow King being great for this. Jean becomes Phoenix as she gets hit, and goes Dark after that as she hits others. After you get her to Phoenix, don't play to win the fight - play to do as little damage as possible.

And for after that, I like to keep Chamber on my team, just because he's got a 50/50 chance of reverting her instantly. If you want something more certain, round robining people like Cyclops, Storm, and Orphan works pretty well.

Keep trying - Chapter 4 is worth it.

  27. 093 for She-Hulk. Also, I added a 'Chapter 7' page and 'Frequencies' page to the X-Assault wiki, with a non-spoilerish walkthrough.
The only way I can get the second ending - the ending with no secret characters - is if I have Mimic on my team. Everyone else just can't stand up for the long fight.

  28. Oh yeah. Anyone want to help me with Team data? There's supposed to be 10 teams in Chapter 7. Your initial team (which I don't think counts) is Rescue Team X. The default team you create (which, I think, does count), is the New Fantastic Four. These are the others I've found:
    Fantastic Four
    Fantastic Force
    Female Five
    Grimm's FF
I suspect you can get an Avengers team if you can get the right grouping (my guess is Ant-Man, Namor, She-Hulk, Tigra, and Black Panther). Also, one of the endings with secret characters has it's own team, which probably counts.

  29. After Crystal beat Pyro, it said "She-Hulk will return to the Baxter Building for healing." Shulkie wasn't even on the team at all. This was in the extended recruiting portion of Chapter 7.

  30. Been a couple of years since the last update here. Has this died again? That would be a shame, as I only just found out about its (possibly temporary) resurrection...
